Her Style Became Mine.

Here’s a question for the men over 60

When your wife or partner first met you, what were you wearing?

Think about it.

You had your own style back then. You bought your own clothes. You dressed yourself. Whether she liked your jeans, your boots, your shirts, your jacket, or simply the confidence with which you wore them, she was attracted to the man standing in front of her.

That man was you.

Then something happened.

A birthday came around.

A Christmas gift appeared.

She bought you a shirt.

No problem. You wore it because she liked it.

Then came another shirt.

A pair of trousers.

A jacket.

A jumper.

Before long, every item entering your wardrobe had her approval stamp on it.

Then one day you realised something.

You hadn’t bought your own clothes in years.

In fact, if you walked into a clothing store by yourself, you wouldn’t even know what to choose anymore.

Your style had disappeared.

Your wardrobe was no longer yours.

You had become a matching accessory.

You know the couples I’m talking about.

They walk into a restaurant looking like they’ve been issued a uniform.

Matching colours.

Matching styles.

Matching everything.

She loves it.

But do you?

Or have you simply stopped varing, for whatever reason.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth.

Many men slowly surrender parts of themselves in relationships without ever noticing.

Not just their wardrobe.

Their hobbies.

Their friendships.

Their opinions.

Their independence.

Their identity.

It happens one bit at a time until one day you wake up wondering where is the man I used to. What happened?

Now before anyone gets upset, this isn’t about clothes.

It’s about self-respect.

A man who cannot choose how he dresses himself will eventually stop choosing other things as well.

The issue isn’t whether your wife buys you a shirt.

The issue is whether you’ve handed over the steering wheel of your own life.

The woman who fell for you was attracted to an individual.

A man with his own tastes.

His own opinions.

His own style.

His own confidence.

And he wonders why he does not feel like himself.

Here’s my view.

If you’re over 60 and your partner has complete control over your wardrobe, it’s time to reclaim it.

Go buy your own clothes.

Wear what YOU like.

Wear what makes you feel comfortable.

Wear what reflects who you are. Your own personality

Not what somebody else thinks you should be or look like.

Because individuality is attractive.

Confidence is attractive.

Authenticity is attractive.

And the man she fell in love with wasn’t a project waiting to be completed.

He was already enough.

So let me ask the men reading this:

Who buys your clothes these days?

You or your wife?

And when was the last time you bought something simply because YOU liked it?

I have had lots of men defending their partners buying All their clothes for them.

Most are now divorced.

A woman likes a man to be a man in control.

Once they control you they, they lose respect and move on.

For all the men happy to be clothed by their women, wake the fuck up.

Please do not reply with the wimp statement, my woman buys all my clothes and i am happy.

Get a set of balls, those you were born with and be a man, not an accessory.

Are you still being dressed by your woman?
